The Lamb of Extremadura P.G.I. has integrated a strict program of control that consists of monitoring the lambs from the time of birth until the meat is in circulation in sales venues. The breed, production, nutrition, origin, health, transport, butchering and distribution to retail sales venues are all carefully controlled.
Our control program is carried out under strict documentation and declarations regarding the individual lots that in the production system. Technicians from PGI CORDEREX inspect and control the feedlots, factories, slaughterhouses, chopping rooms and commercial entities. In these inspections, the conditions that allowed the facility to be certified are evaluated and supervised and random samples from the animal feed are taken so that the certified labs under rule 17.025 can test for relevant residues. |
