A Production Lot (DOC.LP) consists of the lambs born on company premises in an interval of maximum 30 days, and individually identified, before weaning, and with tags or other distinctive marks issued by the Lamb of Extremadura P.G.I. Meanwhile, the lambs will nurse naturally until they reach a minimum weight of 12 kg, with the allowance of supplementing this with food concentrates authorized by the Regulatory Council.

 
  Tagging
Once past the weaning period, the lambs constitute a Finished Lot (DOC.LA) the constitution of which much be declared: the number of lambs, their individual identities or production lot from which they were taken, sex, weight and concentrate that they will be fed.  Each Finished Lot will stay at least 30 more days in the feedlot before their sacrifice, constantly stabled, separated from the rest of the animals and subject to identical feed guidelines and handling.  This feed is exclusively that approved by the P.G.I. outlined in the declaration and grain grass, prohibiting any utilization of medications or other substances that could alter the normal rhythm of growth and development of the lamb.

Any sanitary incidents or any incident that might modify the declaration of the Finished Lot in terms of handling, nutrition, number of animals or in regards to the individual identification of the animals must be noted on the Corresponding Incidents Report (DOC.HI)

The Finished Lot may also be determined in the classification center and/or completed, possibly including lambs from other registered producer feedlots, when the lambs have similar characteristics in terms of breed, age, weight and sex.
