This branch of the government is the one most representing the organization and as the Regulatory Council of the PGI “Lamb of Extremadura” Corderex, it is responsible for applying the conditions of the Policy, Quality Manual and Manual of General Procedures and safeguarding its compliance, making the decisions regarding directives and organizing the activities related to the Regulatory Council.
It is composed of 12 members and one secretary, of whom six represent the production sector and the other six represent the industrial and operating sector; two technical delegates from the Economy and Work Committee can attend as members. From the 12 members, a President and Vice President are elected, each of which represent a different sector.
The Regulatory Council’s purpose is to apply the requirements of the Policy and monitor its compliance, provide printed materials, logos, tags, seals, etc., issue certificates of classification of meat and make available computer support that makes possible the unification of the received data and facilitates their traceability.The entire organization is committed to a system of quality and operates by the principles of impartiality, objectivity and technical competence. |
